Dugualla bay

I used to work out on this farm in high school and my favorite time of the year was when the pumpkins came in. We had hay rides, a corn maze, and tons and tons of pumpkins. They're in early this year and I couldn't help myself, I had to stop by. The sky was a little grey and it rained that morning so it made walking around the muddy patch a bit difficult but so worth it. Happy halloween everyone!

Wild

I've finally got internet access back! I've been in the process of moving and starting a new job and haven't been able to post in a while. But I'm back and so excited to share my new favorite book. I know I'm kind of late to the party and it is already being turned into a film, but if you have not yet read this book, you truly have not lived. The book is Wild by Cheryl Strayed. It's not only about her adventures on backpacking along the PCT (pacific coast trail) alone, but her journey to find her place in life after her mother passes and her divorce. It's inspiring, uplifting, and addicting once you start. You'll definitely want to sell everything, pack a bag and hit the road after you read this!

2 piece

The thrill of the hunt. The score that makes you comin back for more. This brown and black checkered 2 piece was just that! I stopped by a thrift store that I've driven past my whole life on the south end of the island but I had never gone in. It's two stories, really organized and the whole second floor is just books (awesome). I scowered the racks with nothing particular in mind and have to say this was my best thrift store experience. I found tons of doilies to save up and stash for future craft projects, a beaded tassle necklace, a motorcycle nomad book (for a future trip) and this 2 piece shirt and skirt combo. At first I was drawn to the pattern and had only the skirt in mind. I figured I'd try it and if I only liked the skirt it'd be no big deal. I got by bag of goodies home, tried the two piece on and instantly fell in love. You can't realy tell it's two separates but I know and now you do too. I paired it with my leather vest I got about a year ago from Wasteland and my Margiela booties. I love how the vest gave it a modern twist and the whole vibe is very A.P.C. to me. I have yet to top this thrift find, but it's treasures like these that make you keep digging.

H&M jacket

One of my biggest fall inspirations has to be Isabel Marant. I love her combination of effortless, navajo, chic, tomboy pieces. I was instantly drawn to this h &m jacket, because of the print, the heavy texture, and the boxy fit. I paired it with my rag 'n bone seal wax pants, alexander wang basic tank, and my new favorite gemma necklace from little pieces of hope. Definitely check out her etsy shop!

Rust

I have never been one to "thrift", not that I am against it, just never found a reason to. Now moving back home, not having the resources that I used to down in LA, and having a smaller budget than what I'm used to, I have found myself visiting local thrift stores here on the island on the reg. I've mostly found knick knacks and craft supplies, but the other day I happened upon this rust, vintage, wool skirt in the middle of the halloween costume rack. I didn't want to try it on so took a risk, bought it, brought it home and it turned out to be the cutest fall skirt I own! I paired it with a white lace top and my birkenstocks for a delicate fall look.
